Dubai attempts world record for breast cancer

Dubai Business News —  It’s Breast Cancer awareness month and here’s your chance to do something for charity and go down in the history books for attempting a world record.

Breast Cancer Arabia, in conjunction with Meydan, is organising a special awareness event this Friday in Dubai at 10.30am, and they need the community to lend a helping hand in creating the largest human awareness ribbon.

Attending the campaign will be representatives from Guinness World Records to root people on.

Plus, adding further encouragement will be the several prizes up for grabs, including a chance to win a holiday to Cape Town, South Africa for seven nights for two people, family vouchers for Atlantis The Palm, Meydan Hotel brunch vouchers, or a night’s stay for two at the Meydan Hotel and Bab Al Shams Desert Resort and Spa.

Anyone over the age of 15 can participate, with registration costing Dh30 and starting at Meydan at 8.30am. The fee will also get you a t-shirt and baseball cap, which must be worn for the record attempt.
