Dubai Business News — Hosts Sharjah Ladies Club (SLC) maintained their winning streak in the SLC Women's Sports Festival with three more wins in the volleyball competition earlier this week.
The SLC team secured a well-contested 25-15 win against Al Habtoor Philippines team and followed this with 25-11 and 25-17 wins against Ajman Club and Al Wasl respectively to maintain a clean slate after four days of competition. In other matches, Al Wasl etched out a 25-10 win against Ajman Club and Al Habtoor beat Philippines LBLG 25-17.
Meanwhile, the karate team from SLC also did well claiming two gold medals in a competition that featured six teams from all over the UAE, including squads from Al Wasl, Al Ahli, Al Dhaid, Union Team and Guides Association.
Sumaiya, Aisha and Duniya won a bronze medal each at the end of the first day, while Sumaiya and Ruba struck gold on the second day even as Onood and Fatima took bronze to help assert the SLC dominance.
